Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

Ice Cream

Whole Milk (Local Grass Fed) 1 1/2 Cups
Heavy Whipping Cream (Organic) 3 Cups
Whole Vanilla Beans (Fresh Bourbon Madagascar) 2 pods
Sugar (Organic) 1 1/8 Cups
Kosher Salt 1/8 Teaspoon
Corn Starch 2 Tablespoons
Vanilla Extract (Pure Organic) 1/4 Teaspoon

Directions

  1. Whisk milk, heaving whipping cream, sugar, salt, corn starch and vanilla extract in a pot and set to boil.
  2. Split vanilla beans and scrap out the beans and add to pot.
  3. Continue to whisk until boiling and shut off heat.
  4. Pour into Tupperware and put in fridge until completely cool.
  5. Prepare Ice Cream Machine according to instructions and add cooled ice cream base into machine for churning.
  6. Once machine is complete scoop into Tupperware and put into freeze to set for a few hours until proper consistency.
