Famous Chili
| red kidney beans | 2 cans | |
| onions | 3 | |
| celery | 3 stalks | |
| olive oil | 2 tablespoons | |
| salt | 1 teaspoon | |
| sugar | 1 tablespoon | |
| tomoatos | 1 (28oz) can | |
| tomato paste | 1 can | |
| bay leaf | 1 | |
| peppercorns | few | |
| chili powder | 2 tablespoons | |
| red pepper | 1/2 teaspoon | |
| ground chuck | 1lb. |
Directions
- Saute onions and celery in oil until limp.
- Add ground chuck and brown.
- Add tomatoes and paste and all others except beans.
- Simmer for 45 minutes.
- Add beans and simmer for 15 more minutes.
