Buttermilk Biscuits & Sausage Gravy

Sausage Gravy

pork sausage, bronwed 1lb.
flour, 00 1/4 cup
whole milk 2 cups
black pepper
kosher salt

Buttermilk Biscuits

flour, 00 or really nice all purpose 2 cups
baking powder 2 teaspoons
baking soda 1/4 teaspoon
salt 1 teaspoon
cold butter, grated 7 tablespoons
buttermilk 3/4 cups

Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits with easy to make sausage gravy.

Gravy Directions

  1. Brown pork sausage and then add the flour.
  2. Add whole milk and bring to a boil.
  3. Add salt and pepper

Biscuit Directions

  1. Combine the dry ingredients including the butter
  2. Make hole for buttermilk and slowly pour and whisk in
  3. Place on floured surface and fold over a few times
  4. Cut out biscuits and place in cast iron or pan and have them touch.
  5. Brush buttermilk over top
  6. Bake 400* for 15 minutes.
